Did you hear?... ICG helps REI cut shipping costs

ICG Commerce, a vendor specializing in analyzing and coordinating company shipping needs, announced on October 8 that by using its RapidSource Transportation Program, REI managed to save 9 percent on its annual Less Than Truckload shipping costs.

ICG Commerce, a vendor specializing in analyzing and coordinating company shipping needs, announced on October 8 that by using its RapidSource Transportation Program, REI managed to save 9 percent on its annual Less Than Truckload shipping costs. According to the release, REI managed more than 17,000 annual LTL shipments between its 60 retail stores and its distribution center. John Strother, director of logistics for REI, stated, "ICG Commerce's sourcing expertise has been instrumental in helping us streamline the logistics process, reduce sourcing cycle time, and save on transportation costs while maintaining our stringent delivery service requirements."
