Three months before the ispo sporting goods four-day show swings opens its doors on Jan. 27, 2008, management has announced several changes and opportunities, as well as the news the show's nearly 2 million square feet is already sold out:
>> New hall layout -- Looking for a better way to accommodate exhibitors as well as make sure like segments aren't too spread out, the show has re-arranged a few halls. The biggest change is with the outdoor area. Four full halls -- two on each side of the atrium at the east end (B5, B6, and A5, A6) -- will be exclusively outdoor. Ski and snowsports will then occupy two halls beside them on the "B" side. Board sports will slide down on the "A" side with three neighboring halls, where the rear of one will include BrandNew award winners. The newly dubbed "performance" segment, including fitness, running and related exhibitors, will sandwich the new north entrance in halls C3 and C4 to make access easier for those focused on those areas.
Sportstyle exhibitors will be in the first two B halls from the west entrance -- where the fashion shows will also be held -- while sourcing booths will occupy two sourcing-exclusive halls behind them in C.

>> BrandNew awards -- Applications for the popular BrandNew awards given each show by ispo to new and innovative products by new companies are still open. Each winner and a group of finalists will receive a booth in a specific hall and the opportunity to present its products at the show and in a fashion show. International distributors and media have learned this area is a must-see for new products.
But the deadline is fast-approaching. Applications must be in by Nov. 2. Companies cannot be older than four years, can't have exhibited at ispo already, and must have new and innovative products.
