The first whitewater rodeo kayaking event ever to be held in a man-made pool will take place at the California Canoe & Kayak Frenzy on the water-front at Oakland's, Jack London Square, Feb. 2-3, 2002. Team Wave Sport will hold the exhibition in the Wave Box, the first portable hydraulic hole which emulates a natural whitewater feature by moving over 6,400 gallons of water per minute. In addition to the exhibition, on-lookers will have an opportunity to experience the Wave Box first-hand. Three play-boating clinics will be available to the public including: Intro to Play Boating with World Champion Eric Jackson, Intermediate/Advanced Play Boating with Jackson, and a women's specific clinic with Tanya Shuman, Lisa Beckstead and Brooke Winger.
