British outdoor retailer Cotswold Outdoor has acquired the assets of defunct 9feet.com. The acquisition includes the customer database, as well as some software, but not apparently the name and the stock, according to the UK's outdoor trade newsletter Outdoor i. The internet retailer 9feet.com had made a failed attempt last year to expand into Germany and France. Now, Cotswold claims it has the largest customer database around. If you click on Cotswold-Outdoor.com or 9feet.com, you get the same thing: Cotswold Outdoor.
