A potential trademark dispute over the name Redline of Mike Cochrane's new company has forced a change to the name RedZone Fitness.

"The name still plays into our exercise philosophy of heart rate zone training and we are very happy with the outcome," said Cochrane, RedZone CEO. "So welcome to the new company, welcome to RedZone Fitness Worldwide."

Cochrane added that since the company (now www.redzonefitness.com) was still in the startup phase it was easy to change the name and avoid putting more money in attorneys' pockets.

"The worldwide trademark has been granted for RedZone Fitness, and the website is up and running only days after the switch was made," he added. Cochrane did send out a note on July 4, noting however that transferring the website to a new server had caused some glitches causing it to go down for a few days.

Although announced in March as a new company, Cochrane has recently noted that it will not be ready to exhibit at the Health & Fitness Business show in Denver in August.

"Our machines will be ready in the fall," he said, "but some plastics are still being developed and it is too tight for the show."
