Clarks, the family owned shoe retailer with 14 percent market share in the United Kingdom wants to expand in Europe and America to boost sales, according to reports in UK's Outdoor i trade newsletter. With 500 UK stores, sales grew 7 percent to GBP 937 million (USD $1.4 billion) with underlying profits up 17.5 percent to GBP 56 million (USD $81.2 million) for 2001.
