Britain's Outdoor Industries Association has welcomed the recent report of the Rural Task Force and is calling on the government to ensure its key recommendations are implemented.

Britain's Outdoor Industries Association has welcomed the recent report of the Rural Task Force and is calling on the government to ensure its key recommendations are implemented. “The report’s recognition of the close relationship between access to the countryside and the rural economy is extremely welcome” said OIA director Andrew Maxted, “and it is particularly encouraging to see this public acknowledgement that the problems caused by foot and mouth are far from over.” For more on the disease and the association's and government's followup, go to www.go-outdoors.org.uk.
