In related news, the Brinkmann Corp. of Dallas, Texas, is recalling about 45,000 outdoor tabletop propane heaters with model number 833-1000-0 because they emit high levels of carbon monoxide, posing a risk of CO poisoning to users. The Consumer Product Safety Commission Thursday said Brinkmann had received one report of a person dying of CO poisoning while using the propane heater inside a camper -- click here to read report. The recalled heaters are about 33 inches tall and use a disposal 1-pound propane tank commonly sold in outdoor and camping stores. The Chinese-made units feature battery operated "mood lighting" around the plastic base and were sold nationwide at retail and discount stores including Wal-Mart, Menards and Galyan's from September 2001 through May 2002 for up to $100. Consumers are advised to stop using the heaters immediately and can contact Brinkmann at 800-675-5301 to receive a full refund.
