Nike and adidas have been named among the top 50 companies globally in the current SustainAbility Global Reporters Program ranking. SustainAbility is the think tank and strategy consultancy that operates the Global Reporters research program and produced the rankings in its “Tomorrow’s Value” report.

Nike, which was the leading U.S. company and among the top 10 globally, was named for its commitment to industry-leading transparency in its social responsibility reporting within its 2004 report. Nike's 2004 report, released in April 2005, highlighted the Nike brand's CR priorities, programs, progress and challenges relating to workers in contract factories; employees and diversity; the environment; and community investment during the period covering primarily Nike's 2004 fiscal year, which began June 1, 2003, and ended May 31, 2004.

Nike plans to release its next report covering fiscal years 2005 and 2006 in the spring of 2007. To read the full 2004 report, click here.

SustainAbility is a strategy consultancy and independent think tank specializing in the business risks and market opportunities of corporate responsibility and sustainable development. To read the full report, go to www.sustainability.com.
