Business for Wilderness (B4W) is touting two campaigns the association believes are designed to engage outdoor manufacturers, retailers, sales representatives and publications to help customers get involved in the protection of roadless areas in our National Forests.B4W is looking to promote these campaigns at OR Summer Market and are asking for industry involvement. One program is dubbed "Highlight a Roadless Area Campaign," which invites companies to feature a roadless area on the company's website, in a catalog, or in other marketing materials. Dagger is currently working to highlight a roadless area from B4W's "Protect Today: Play Tomorrow" roadless report on the company's website. The other initiative is dubbed the "Wild Forest Postcard Campaign." B4W's idea here is that retail stores can carry scenic postcards highlighting roadless areas, each with an identical message to Secretary of Agriculture Ann Veneman, asking her to take decisive action to protect America's remaining roadless forests. The postcards and accompanying POPs are available free to retailers to display at their stores. For more information, email kgrannan@outdoorindustry.org.
