Atlas Snowshoe Company has announced strategic partnerships with Mountain Hardwear, Montrail, Clif Bar, Petzl America, National Geographic Maps, Subaru, and the Women's Sports Foundation to establish an outreach program designed to get more women participating in outdoor sports this winter. The Explore Winter Women's Workshops will be presented in early winter at key retail and health club venues. The workshops are intended to inspire, educate and empower women who may not have previously been active in snowshoeing or other winter outdoor sports. Each participant will receive a CD-ROM with valuable how-to information, downloadable maps, special offers from all partners, safety tips and more. Workshop participants will also have the chance to go on a follow-up snowshoe hike guided by the athletes featured in the film. Actual dates and locations for the clinics are still pending but information will be available in early fall at www.atlassnowshoe.com.
