Last summer we reported on Arborwear's heavy cotton canvas pants and shorts. Originally designed for arborists, the pants in particular had taken off with outdoor accounts. To most of the retailers carrying Arborwear pants and shorts, they were well-priced "stand-up" replacements.

Now, Arborwear offers a lighter-weight version of their pants called Lightweight Climbers. Our tester writes: "Never a fan of heavy cotton canvas pants because they restrict movement, I find the lighter canvas version to be plenty beefy enough to take a beating yet they allow far more freedom of movement. These are good multi-season pants."

The pants come in 10-ounce Cotton Bull Denim in the color called Moss.

SNEWS Rating: 4 hands clapping (1 to 5 hands clapping possible, with 5 clapping hands representing functional and design perfection.)

Suggested Retail: $49.95
