Altrec.com and Resort Sports Network (RSN) announced this morning that
they have entered into a partnership offering a co-branded online store
called, appropriately enough, the RSN Gear Store -- http://rsn.altrec.com/shop/.

Shannon Stowell, vice president of business development for Altrec told
SNEWS® that the relationship is multi-tiered and involves content
sharing, branded exposure on each other's sites, as well as the online
store.

"Working with RSN is part of our overall strategy to ensure we are
getting our products in front of the core skiing audience," says
Stowell. "We have products we're able to offer online that are very
difficult for ski and snow sport enthusiasts to find anywhere else
because of our established relationship with Sturtevant's (www.sturtevants.com)."

Stowell informed us that Altrec has also entered into partnerships with www.skimaps.com and www.onthesnow.com as part of the company's snow sports business strategy.

"In addition, we will have a presence on www.goski.com, which is also owned by RSN," adds Stowell.

The partnership / relationship approach has been working very well for
Altrec who continues to surprise folks with their "little engine that
could" approach to business. Only in this case the "little engine" is
rapidly becoming supercharged. Consider that Altrec confided in SNEWS®Â
that business has grown 100 percent year to date, and managed a healthy
80 percent increase in October alone compared with the same month last
year. Consider too that Altrec has now partnered with a national cable
and television network that boasts an avg. of 500,000 unique web
visitors monthly and experiences in excess of nine million page views
each month. That audience, according to RSN, is affluent with an
average age of 37 and an average $75,000 annual income. Altrec also
told us that their partnership approach to expanding their presence in
the snowsports category is something they plan on establishing in other
category areas, such as outdoor adventure.
