And we’re proud to say that this issue is 100 percent, Made in the USA … well maybe. We think the paper comes from Pacific Northwest trees, but it could be Brazil. Oh, and these Macs we’re producing the magazine on are designed in California, but they are most certainly made in China. We’re also uncertain if our staff is 100 percent American … there might be some Irish and Italian blood in this newsroom.
Long story short … “Made in the USA” is complicated, and the outdoor brands embarking on the domestic route of production are encountering plenty of hurdles. We take a look at the obstacle course.
