We kick off the show with some target practice, namely the increasing connections between our world and the hook & bullet crowd. It’s a two-way trail with outdoor brands scoping fly fishers and hunters, while camouflage pack and high-end cooler makers hunt for specialty retailers beyond Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shop.
In other news, Patagoina cuts the cord on its footwear deal with Wolverine, and Polartec tells us it has put the ingredient brand up for sale. Plus a little rain, and relatively cool day — 80 degrees feels downright chilly for Utah in August — couldn’t dampen spirits at Tuesday’s Open Air Demo at Pineview Reservoir.
