As well as demonstrating new products such as the powerchimp4A, silverback-gorilla and spidermonkey, visitors to booth 31011E will be able to see flagship products such as the waterproof, solar powered powermonkey extreme and the solarmonkey adventure portable solar charger with integrated battery – products that have already established Powertraveller as the number 1 portable power brand throughout the outdoor markets of the UK and Europe.

The powermonkey extreme portable charger (winner of an OutDoor Industry Award and a Queen’s Award) houses a massive 9000mAh lithium polymer battery, comes complete with a highly efficient yet compact solar panel and is waterproof – rated to IP67. The powermonkey extreme has already become a big seller for the top outdoor retailers in the USA and has garnered the attention of many outdoor professionals as the “must-have” product for adventurers and outdoorsmen alike. Visitors to the Powertraveller stand at OR Winter will get to see the aquastrap – the latest accessory to the powermonkey extreme – in action for the first time at a trade show. The aquastrap ensures the powermonkey extreme stays watertight whilst it charges users’ electronic devices – essential for the outdoor market.

The solarmonkey adventurer is the first Powertraveller solar charger to feature an internal battery which, in optimum light conditions, can be charged by the solar panels in just 8-12 hours. The kit comes complete with a bespoke, technical travel case which can be attached to backpacks via the included tough carabiner and a whole host of connector tips for the most popular 5V devices.

The January 2013 show is the first OR Winter that Powertraveller has exhibited at, previously showing only at OR Summer. Together with US distribution partner Outdoor Tactical Enterprises, Powertraveller will be promoting their products by handing out a limited number of useful carabiners at the show and will have “on stand” demonstrations of both existing and forthcoming technology.
