COTTAGE GROVE, Wis. (March 13, 2012) – On March 15 and 16, 2012, Johnson Health Tech North America, Inc. will debut the new ICG® Myride®+ at the IHRSA 2012 fitness convention in Los Angeles. Myride+ is a software and content remap of the Myride console. The new product delivers high-definition, forward-motion video and music, and it can be used with live instruction or combined with voiceovers by master instructors to create virtual rides. It also allows facilities to use their cycling studios at all times for potentially greater profits. The high-definition, 17” touch-screen console connects to any TV screen or projector via HDMI and can send audio to any sound system via stereo leads.

“It’s important to understand your customer’s needs,” said Becky Jalbert, product manager for Johnson Health Tech. “In our partnership with ICG, we identified a need to bring this experience into the studio environment based on customer feedback from the original Myride console. Now our customers can provide an unsurpassed indoor-cycling experience in the studio for multiple users at any time.”

The high-definition displays and big-screen projection are designed to make the viewer feel immersed in the video. The Myride+ video library uses industry-standard video by Virtual Activeâ„¢ that eliminates vibration and shakiness in the imagery for crystal clear views of the terrain, such as the Italian Alps or serene forested trails.

Easy programming of Myride+ is a key new feature. Over one million workout variations on studio or outdoor rides can be made into a video playlist of any length and profile in seconds. One touch moves the video forward or back from one point to another and gives instant access to any type of terrain, while advanced technology enables any video and piece of music to fit together. Quick-start functions also enable access to any terrain type without pre-planning. In this way, Myride+ allows studios to take a class to more than 70 of the world’s most scenic locations with complete ease. Programming these virtual rides allows fitness clubs to run a 24/7 virtual class schedule, extending studio use beyond the typical 20 percent of the day.

Myride+ classes will be demonstrated at IHRSA 2012 on March 15 and 16 in the ICG/Matrix Fitness booth (No. 1201A).
