Brooks Range Mountaineering Equipment, maker of high quality backcountry and mountaineering gear, reports that 2012 sales were the best ever in its history. Year to date topline growth was up 40% compared to 2011, making it a highly successful year that significantly boosted the company’s profitability. In 2012, the month of November marked the company’s largest ever shipping month as it headed into its busiest season.
“These results are a validation of our strategy, as well as the skill and dedication of our streamlined team,†said Jeff Blakely, general manager of Brooks-Range Mountaineering Equipment. “We’ve been aggressively expanding our distribution throughout North America and abroad, have partnered with key retailers that reach our core audience, diversified our product offerings, and of course, paid homage to Mother Nature. So far in 2013, we are on track to further exceed 2012 performance which will facilitate a broader product line and continued innovative designs in years to come.â€
A number of elements have contributed to the company’s growth. Brooks-Range’s ever-expanding high quality outerwear line has helped open new U.S. and international accounts, and grow others. The addition of Down Tekâ„¢ water-resistant down technology has reinforced the brand’s position as a leader in outdoor innovation. That, combined with a meticulous attention to detail, and a good snow season has allowed Brooks-Range to grow consistently.
“High quality, innovative products, and extreme customer service are just some of the values upon which Brooks-Range has built its foundation,†continued Blakely. “We look forward to continuing this growth pattern and seeing the Brooks-Range label on every mountain peak in the U.S and abroad.â€
