When sponsored athletes or employees do something stupid
On Sunday, May 7, Patagonia ambassador and climber Dean Potter created a firestorm of controversy by publicly climbing the most famous rock formation in Utah - Delicate Arch. His act has been widely condemned as selfish and thoughtless...and Patagonia has yet to really make any stand that would publicly admonish Potter. Sponsored athletes and employees are far from perfect. Sometimes, they do clueless things for inexplicable reasons.
