Over the years, our readers have shared some very cool experiences with us, which gave us an idea to launch a feature called “Reader Vibe.” There we will publish essays and stories from our readers for all to enjoy.

Inspirational, aspirational, fun, funny, quirky … it doesn’t matter. Offer it for publication in SNEWS by emailing ReaderVibe@snewsnet.com.

>> “Familiarity and comfort in a climbing gym far from home” ran Sept. 2, 2009.
 In it, Nikki Hodgson wrote about her long adventure getting to a climbing gym in Palestine and how comforting it was once she got there – although the trip was epic. (Yes, she is the daughter of SNEWS co-founders Michael Hodgson and Therese Iknoian.)

>> “You are my tribe” ran July 22, 2009.
Geoff O’Keefe, vice president of operations, American Recreation Products, wrote, “I looked around this morning at the Industry Breakfast and I saw you, and I smiled and felt at home. Despite the fact you are an unruly bunch of lunatics, dreamers, eccentrics, artists, adventurers and renegades, I felt a surge of pride and protectiveness, honored to be one of you, happy to be among you, my tribe.”

Both are insightful, fun, sometimes funny, thought-provoking, great reads.
