STANLEY, a brand of PMI, Sponsors 2010 US Gran Prix of Cyclocross

Louisville, KY – Organizers of the Greenware® US Gran Prix of Cyclocross, (USGP) have announced today that Stanley, a brand of PMI, will once again return as a national sponsor of the US Gran Prix of Cyclocross (USGP). As part of their sponsorship, the brand that has fueled outdoor adventures since 1913, will also return as the title sponsor of the series finale in Portland, OR, December 4th and 5th.

Supporting the USGP cyclocross series is part of the brand’s Built for Life® Road Tour, currently touring the nation in a classic, refurbished 1967 Airstream. This airstream turned traveling showroom celebrates the Stanley brand’s heritage while promoting consumers’ real life tales of durability and survival with Stanley reusable food and beverage products. Cyclocross racers at the USGP races will be able to partake in the experience first-hand while purchasing their next set of new USGP/Stanley gear made exclusively for the USGP series.


“What makes cyclocross, and the USGP races in particular so great is the energy and excitement around these events, both on and off the course,” said JoAnne Anderson, Senior Marketing Manager for the Stanley brand. “Our Built for Life Road Tour will be a nice hub of energy to add to the action.”


Limited edition USGP Stanley products will include many favorites along with the brand new One Handed H20 water bottle 24oz ($20), designed for hydrating in motion and the Carbonated Drink Bottle 32oz ($28) made uniquely to hold beer or soda while keeping it cold for 3 plus hours. All products will be available for purchase at the USGP races and online at www.stanley-pmi.com and www.usgpcyclocross.com starting mid September through December 2010.
