The Chaos Continues at the American Ski Classic
Korbel California Champagne, Gold Peak, Vail, Colo., March 17-20

Steamboat Springs, Colo. (March 12th, 2008) With just a few days left, the CHAOS never ends in Vail! Chaos is the Official Headwear supplier for American Ski Classic events. Specialty collector’s beanies and caps will be gifted to all athlete participants, staff and volunteers for the weekend. Chaos specialty hats can be found throughout the valley in Vail and Beaver Creek retail stores.

America’s original PRO/AM celebrity ski event returns to Vail Mountain March 17-20 as the 2010 Korbel California Champagne American Ski Classic takes Golden Peak by storm. Some of the greatest names in ski racing history, including Olympic, World Championships and World Cup champions will kickoff the festivities Thursday, March 18, as old rivalries are rekindled in the Volvo Legends of Skiing Giant Slalom competition, followed by a special edition of the Bud Light Street Beat free concert series featuring Cowboy Mouth.

New this year, we bring the Conway Cup into the fold on Wednesday, March 17. In its inaugural year, the Conway Cup presented by Korbel is a community race featuring 40 four-person teams in a dual-format race.  The winning team will earn entry into the Korbel Ford Cup, along with VIP access and gift bags.  The second and third place teams will also walk away with American Ski Classic swag, like VIP bags, social invitations or VIP access.  All proceeds benefit the Conway Family Fund.

The Legends will then take on the role of team captains for the Ford Cup celebrity team races, as the teams of five attempt to work their way through a two-day maze of head-to-head racing to emerge with the gold medal and a year’s worth of bragging rights.

Providing a festive backdrop to the action on the racecourse will be a full social schedule, with events including the second annual Hold ‘Em For Hope benefit Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament and the Legends of Skiing Banquet.
