CANADA GOOSE ADVENTURE TOURS COMBINE GAP ADVENTURES EXCITEMENT WITH CANADA GOOSE COLD WEATHER COMFORT AND STYLE

Canada’s favorite manufacturer of extreme climate outerwear branches out with dog sledding, polar bear viewing and other cold weather adventures

TORONTO (February 8, 2010) – Canada Goose, the leading Canadian manufacturer of down-insulated outerwear for extreme climates, has partnered with Gap Adventures, the world leader in small group adventure travel, to bring a new series of cold weather adventure tours to travelers worldwide. Canada Goose Adventure Tours will provide exploration-loving travelers a unique opportunity to experience some of the farthest flung regions of the globe in style. The first Canada Goose Adventure Tour is slated to depart on April 11, 2010.

“Canada Goose products have long been found in some of the coldest places on Earth so a partnership with Gap Adventures on these tours is a perfect fit,” said Dani Reiss, president and CEO, Canada Goose. “Canada Goose shares a lot of ideals with the Gap Adventures team and we’re thrilled to be able to partner with them to offer these incredible winter adventures. Travelers will be able to share in the excitement while staying warm and fashionable in the latest Canada Goose jackets.”

Canada Goose Adventures will introduce globetrotters to the intriguing people, dramatic landscapes and unforgettable wildlife of the Arctic and Antarctic regions on voyages to a wide range of countries including Canada, the United States, Argentina, Sweden and Finland. Trips start at $3569 CAD per person for the 11-day Patagonia Winter Activity Week. Other unforgettable adventures include the six-day Norway High Arctic Adventure, the six-day Polar Bears, Dog-sledding and Aurora Borealis adventure across Canada’s great white north.

“Canada Goose Adventure Tours are a truly creative addition to our already strong repertoire of Polar tours,” said Gap Adventures Founder Bruce Poon Tip. “This cutting-edge partnership offers our loyal travelers the chance to step into the cold and experience the best in sustainable, authentic tourism in ways they could once have only imagined.”

“Canada Goose adventure tours offer travelers the opportunity to warm up to some very cool accommodations including igloos and ice hotels, all while sporting a Canada Goose parka as a take-home reminder of their fantastic foray onto the frozen Polar tundra. As a rule, all Canada Goose jackets are field tested by those who live, work and play in the environments they emerged from, making them the ideal comfort and style choice for Canada Goose Adventure Tours,” continued Reiss.

Canada Goose Adventure Tours Combine Gap Adventures Excitement with Canada Goose Cold Weather Comfort and Style

Those Canada Goose adventurers who sail to Antarctica on specific departures in March 2011, aboard the Gap Adventures ship, the M/S Expedition, will receive a very distinctive souvenir—a Canada Goose parka designed in conjunction with Gap Adventures’ crack team of cold-weather designers. These 3-in-1 jackets are made-to-order for sub-zero travel with such top flight features as waterproof shells, a zip-in down inner-jacket and extra large pockets to accommodate digital cameras and other top travel accessories.
