Industry News Release Written By: Janine Robertson
The new Insect Shield TravelChair will help protect outdoor enthusiasts from annoying and potentially dangerous insects – including those that can cause West Nile virus, Lyme disease and malaria. The odorless insect protection provided by Insect Shield Repellent Gear lasts through six months of constant exposure to weathering (sun/rain) and is proven to repel mosquitoes, ticks, flies, and fleas. The active ingredient is permethrin, a human-made version of a natural insect repellent found in certain chrysanthemum plants, such as the African daisy. Insect Shield Repellent Gear can be used by infants, children of all ages, and women who are pregnant or nursing.
The Insect Shield Mesh TravelChair features Ballistic Nylon Mesh – a light weight fabric with great strength, sun and mildew resistant with an open weave to promote ventilation. Reinforced seatbelt webbing at stress points, nylon connectors and grommets, and oversized rivets with exacting assembly tolerances yield excellent durability resulting in a longer chair lifespan. Insect Shield Repellent Technology offers protection against mosquitoes, ticks, flies and fleas – including those that can carry dangerous diseases such as West Nile virus, Lyme disease or malaria. MSRP: $65. Available end-summer 2009.|
