LEXINGTON, MA (July 2, 2009) - Saucony, Inc., a leading global supplier of performance athletic footwear and apparel, was named the 2009 Fleet Feet Sports Footwear Vendor of the Year. This award recognizes a footwear manufacturer for providing excellent product, support, and services to Fleet Feet Sports stores. Fleet Feet, Inc. honored the outstanding contributions and accomplishments of its franchisees, employees and vendors during its annual National Franchise Conference held June 27 to July 1, 2009 in Cambridge, Maryland.

“The whole Saucony team is honored to be recognized by Fleet Feet, a true partner, for our first-class customer service and superior product,” said Fran Allen, senior vice president of global sales for Saucony. “Winning this award further inspires us to raise the bar on enriching customer service and helping Fleet Feet franchisees acquire new customers to help them grow their business.”

The Fleet Feet Sports Footwear Vendor of the Year Award illustrates only part of Saucony’s continued momentum in the running industry: In June, Saucony earned
three first place rankings in the Sports Marketing Surveys’ Spring 2009 Running Specialty Store Retail Sales Survey. In the biannual independent survey, which serves as a recognized barometer for brand momentum in the U.S specialty running retail environment, Saucony surged ahead of the pack, taking first place in Brand Strength Forecast, Market Strength Forecast and the Dealer Confidence Index. Additionally,
in May, the Saucony ProGrid™ Omni 8 won the coveted Editor’s Choice Award from Runner’s World in the publication’s annual Summer Shoe Guide special.
