Julbo Welcomes New Sales Representatives for Southwest and Northeast

Posted: 06/30/2009 In Category: Outdoor Manufacturer

Industry News Release Written By: Kate Slater--Verde PR

Officials from Julbo, Inc. are pleased to announce two new outdoor sales representative partnerships effective July 1, 2009: Sky Ambitions LLC to cover northeast territory and Greg Houston from the Alta Group for the southwest.

“These are exciting times for Julbo and we have had a great time working with the Alta Group in the northwest and have seen some strong consistent growth. Having them now represent us in the southwest, is great news,” said Nick Yardley, U.S. president. “Additionally, we are very excited to have Dave, Kristin and Tim from Sky Ambitions represent us on the other side of the country in the northeast. Dave and I have known each other for over 20 years and I couldn’t wish for a better team to share our goals for Julbo.”

Dave Karl and his team from Sky Ambitions, LLC have been serving the northeast outdoor market for 15 years and cover the following states: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey and New York.  The Sky Ambitions team consists of Dave Karl, Kristin Karl and Tim Keenan.

“We have a great deal of passion and respect for the Julbo brand. As end users, we have been wearing Julbo eyewear for over 25 years and are totally sold on the quality and performance of the product,” says Dave Karl, owner of Sky Ambitions, LLC. “A long time ago, my business mentor made the suggestion that ideally I should only sell products that I would purchase myself and to work with people that I would enjoy being with on a social level. To that end, Julbo is an excellent fit for Sky Ambitions.”

Sky Ambitions, LLC and the Alta Group represent the following quality manufacturers: Adventure Medical Kits, Ambler Mountain Works, OboZ footwear, Petzl America and Sea to Summit. Additionally, the Alta Group represents OrthoSole.

Greg Houston from the Alta Group will head up sales in Arizona, California and Nevada. The Alta Group will now be representing Julbo in the southwest based on Julbo’s successful partnership with the Alta Group in the northwest since 2007. The Alta Group is composed of technically knowledgeable sales representatives whose focus is on selling outdoor hardgoods and accessories, which directly compliments the Julbo brand.

“Julbo’s quality, customer service and reputation fits perfectly into the Alta Group business model: to strive to offer great products and impeccable service to our customers and clients. Julbo exemplifies and embodies the same goals, “ said Greg Houston. “The relationship between Julbo and the Alta Group has continued to grow over the past several years in the northwest and has proved to be a coexistence of two great entities working together with a common goal. So when the opportunity arose to expand the Alta/Julbo relationship deeper into the southwest, it was an easy decision for us to make.”

Julbo is the pioneering eyewear brand in glacier, high-altitude mountaineering eyewear and action sports optics for over 120 years. The company has experienced tremendous success with its complete line of true performance and protective eyewear for children, as well as its leading-edge lens technology and innovative frames. Additionally, Julbo has made major inroads in the realm of eyewear for trail running.
