SALT LAKE CITY, UT (June 29, 2009) – Expert instruction on how to boost sales staff expertise online is just a click away thanks to the 2009 Outdoor University online retail education program.

Online training leader 3point5.com will host a Webinar on July 8 as part of an Outdoor Industry Association series designed to help improve business infrastructure, ensure skills development and provide information on emerging trends and technologies.

The topic of the 3point5.com Webinar, “Boost Your Sales and Your Sales Staff’s Expertise with Online Training”, addresses a crucial topic, said 3point5.com CEO Duncan Robins.

“Staff training remains an urgent need at the retail level and 3point5.com is the leader in the effort to move this critical instruction online,” Robins said. “This Webinar is a way for all OIA members to benefit from our experience across several markets.”

3point5.com trains retail salespeople in the Outdoor, Hunt/Fish, Snowsports, Action Sports, Footwear, Bike, Golf and Tennis industries for free, online. Sales people must pass online “Edu-Games” to earn deep discounts on the products they sell.

Over the last two years, Outdoor University has educated over 300 specialty retailers through regional workshops in the field, eliciting positive reviews. For 2009, the program format shifts online to ensure workshops are accessible to all retailers - no matter the location. Each workshop will be recorded and archived so that it can be rebroadcast on demand.

A launch party for OIA Webinar attendees and presenters will be held at the OIA booth at Outdoor Retailer, scheduled for July 21-24 in Salt Lake City. Outdoor University is free to OIA members or $99 per webinar for non-members. Pre-registration is required. For complete information on the Outdoor University program, speakers, or registration, visit www.outdoorindustry.org.
