Industry News Release Written By: Hilary Hutcheson

KT Tape is the only kinesiology tape to come in convenient, easy-to-use pre-cut strips specifically designed for athletes to apply themselves. This innovative new product is set to revolutionize the way athletes at any level deal with injuries, muscle aches and pains by giving them access to the same technology once available only through personal trainers or physical therapists.

KT Tape will launch nationwide in July at 460 Sports Authority stores in 45 states and will also be available on its online store, www.sportsauthority.com. In the US, KT Tape is already available at Eastbay, Dicks Sporting Goods, Big 5, and Dynatronics. Lumos Inc. is also launching this breakthrough product category world-wide in the Canada, Europe, Australia and South Africa this year.

“Sports Authority was a natural choice for the nationwide launch of KT Tape,” says Lumos co-founder Jim Jenson. “The idea all along has been to bring the great features of kinesiology tape to athletes at every level in a convenient, easy-to-use product. The Sports Authority customer is exactly who we are trying to reach.”

“When we learned about KT Tape, we knew instantly that it was a product that our customers were going to want’” said David Campisi, President of Sports Authority. “Our customers are passionate about the sports they pursue, and KT Tape will help keep them in the game.”

By lifting the skin and relieving pressure on pain transmitters, KT Tape provides muscle-pain relief and support without restricting motion. KT Tape comes in convenient pre-cut strips and is available in a variety of colors. It provides 24-hour relief for up to five days per application and is water resistant, so it stays on in the pool & shower.
Two-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh relies on KT Tape to perform at her peak even when she is injured, and now every athlete can stay in the game with same convenient product

Athletes from all sports use KT Tape. More and more people are discovering the difference KT Tape can make in their athletic performance. Injuries that usually sideline an athlete are no match for KT Tape. KT Tape provides relief for runner’s knee, tennis elbow, Achilles tendonitis, shin splints, sprains, and general back and shoulder pain, as well as most muscle soreness or pain. All of these injuries respond well to treatment with KT Tape, allowing people to remain active while injured.

Each package of KT Tape includes detailed, easy-to-follow instructions for common applications and injuries. KT Tape is latex-free, and non-medicated so there is no potential for interaction with other medications.
