Media and Attendee Registration for Health+Fitness Business Expo Open

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. – June 15, 2009 – Health+Fitness Business Expo & Conference (HFB), a division of Nielsen Business Media's Sports Group, opened media and attendee registration for its August 6-7 retail fitness industry tradeshow, to be held at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colo. The annual tradeshow is the premier gathering of fitness-related brands, industry professionals and decision makers.

Attendees can register online at
www.HealthandFitnessBiz.com by clicking on the “Attendee Register” tab at the top of the page. Qualified buyer and distributor registration is free before July 2 and $25 after that date or for onsite registration. For all non-buyer categories (brands, media sales, consultants, non-exhibiting manufacturers, etc.), there is a $200 per person fee on or before July 2 and $250 thereafter.
HFB invites qualified working media professionals from consumer and trade news organizations to submit a registration request for a complimentary working media badge. Interested media should download the
media registration form from the HFB Website under the “Media Register” at the top of the page. Registrants can also e-mail their credentials to Maura Lansford at
mlansford@soarcomm.com to register for HFB.

In addition to gathering the most important home fitness brands, the developing HFB agenda boasts seminars and panel discussions that will cover the topics, opportunities and challenges the home fitness market is currently facing.
Expo attendees are invited to attend the Aug. 6 SNEWS® Fitness Forum Luncheon, again tackling a current business topic to help attendees improve business and profits. The session, which will include a complimentary lunch provided by HFB, will combine a presentation on the state of the fitness industry by SNEWS editor-in-chief Therese Iknoian and a discussion with retail business experts Ron Hornbaker and Sandy Stein. The HFB agenda will also include Joe Marcoux, author of “Boutique Thinking in a Big Box World,” who will present “The Four R's of Successful Specialty Fitness Retail: Retention, Repeat, Referrals, Reward” on August 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the show floor. Marcoux, a dynamic sales and fitness business expert, will focus on how to encourage, energize and reward customers, keeping them engaged in the fitness lifestyle.
HFB encourages attendees to join with industry peers in the inaugural Fitness Industry Community Service Project. Organized by HFB and SNEWS, the Service Project aims to fostering a spirit of cooperation among industry members and to make a positive impact on the health and fitness of the youth members of the Denver Boys & Girls Clubs. The Service Project is replacing the industry golf tournament that has taken place in past years.
