SteriPEN® Wins Prestigious Travel + Leisure 2009 Design Award

SteriPEN®, produced by Hydro-Photon, Inc., the leader in handheld water purifiers, is pleased to announce that the SteriPEN JourneyLCD has been honored with the Travel + Leisure 2009 Design Award for the “Best Eco Travel Gadget”. Winners of the prestigious awards will be featured in the March issue of Travel + Leisure, on newsstands February 20, 2009 as well as on www.travelandleisure.com.

Travel + Leisure Design Awards recognize standout design in fifteen categories including hotels, restaurants, fashion, and luggage. 2009 winners were selected by an impressive jury including designer Calvin Klein, preservationist Laurie Beckelman, graphic designer Michael Bierut, New Museum Director Lisa Phillips, architect Adam D. Tihany, and landscape designer Edwina von Gal. While this is the fifth year for the Travel + Leisure Design Awards, 2009 marks the first year for the “Eco Travel Gadget” category.
