Regional Sales & Marketing Rep

General Description:

 
We are hiring Regional Sales & Marketing Reps for the following areas: East (Mid-Atlantic), Central (Eastern Rockies/Colorado), West (Bay Area).   will contribute to driving sales growth opportunities, increasing brand awareness among consumers and delivering retail training to our customers.  This position will collaborate with the Marketing Manager and the (East/Central/West) Regional Sales Director to develop and implement a comprehensive go-to-market plan for their territory in alignment with the company’s strategic marketing and sales objectives.  This position will perform field promotion activities to sell and develop new business, as well as, work closely with retail accounts to ensure the Yakima brand is properly positioned at retail by evaluating and making recommendations regarding our customers’ merchandising, inventory and product mix, as well as developing new customer leads within the territory.  In addition, this position will execute key in-field consumer activities to help drive brand preference.

  

Scope & Responsibilities:

 

·          Plans, coordinates and executes consumer and customer events to increase brand awareness, drive increased sales and strengthen dealer relationships

·          Delivers retail clinics for specialty and independent dealers to educate these customers on Yakima’s products and services while building brand loyalty and driving sales

·          Works in conjunction with the regional sales director and independent rep agencies to identify and drive profitable growth opportunities within their territory         

·          Contributes and supports profitable growth opportunities within the region/territory

·          Administers Yakima policies at assigned accounts        

·          Communicates “voice of the customer” into the organization while acting as an interface between our dealers, sales, consumer marketing, product development and supply chain

 

Qualifications:

 

·          B.S. or B.A. degree from an accredited college/university in Marketing, Business or related field preferred

·          Minimum of 2 years sales and/or field marketing experience mandatory

·          Strong analytical & computer skills; specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

·          Knowledge and experience working with and selling Yakima products preferred

·          Exceptional interpersonal communication and public speaking skills

·          Independent, creative, self-starter with the ability to work independently without direct supervision

·          Cycling, ski/ snowboard, paddling and general outdoor experience a plus

·          Valid US driver’s license and clean driving record

 

 

Physical Requirements:

 

          Domestic travel – approximately 50% of time, with approximately 75% travel May-Aug.

          Must be able to work from the road for a minimum of 5-week increments

          Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for periods of time

          Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, stretch and reach on a daily basis

          Able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally

          Must have corrected vision to 20/20

          Must be able to travel via commercial carrier

·          Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and sit for extended periods of time

·          Must be able to work weekends and evenings as required

·          Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and a clean driving record

When the current owners of Makoto USA saw the game that would become Makoto at an arcade in 2002, they immediately realized its potential to provide both physical and mental fitness for anyone, from athletes to the elderly to folks in rehab. The SNEWS® team first saw a Makoto at the Health & Fitness Business show in Denver several years ago and, after playing it (over and over, we must admit), we had to get one for the office.
