Elevation Outdoors Magazine (EO), a new magazine that connects readers to the bounty of outdoor recreation and adventure travel opportunities in the Rocky Mountains, seeks a full-time editor to work out of our home office in
The editor will be an experienced scribe who isn’t afraid to tackle a feature story. In addition to a fair amount of writing, the position will also require managing freelance writers and photographers and organizing monthly edit plans. Other duties will include working with the art/production department and managing all editorial aspects of the elevationoutdoors.com including email newsletters. As a new magazine we need a team player that isn’t opposed to stepping into a variety of roles in different situations.
The successful candidate for this newly created position will have five years of experience plus a bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field; excellent organizational, writing, editing, proofing, freelance management and research skills. Must be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment to deliver accuracy and high quality. Applicant must have superior interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and the ability to work collaboratively.
