Headlamp Division Manager - Petzl America

Petzl America is seeking applicants to fill the position of Headlamp Division Manager. Please read below for more details:

Primary Job Functions
SALES MANAGEMENT
§   Develop, communicate, and manage the overall sales strategy for the Division
o    Create, implement sales programs to support strategy
o    Bi-annual update to inside Sales Team (Sales, Marketing, CSS, France)
§   Develop an annual business plan for strategic divisional goals that are in addition to basic job responsibilities
§   Research, prioritize, and establish new customers, markets, and distribution channels for headlamps
§   Establish sales goals and projections, in units and dollars, for Division and territories
MARKET RESEARCH
§   Complete a bi-annual SWOT analysis for the Division by consolidating Rep / CSS / market input and presenting to inside team (Sales & Marketing Dept Managers & France’s Product Manager)
o    Include specific market feedback on existing Divisional product and proposed new product regarding improved design, development and marketability
o    Include matrix of the competition’s current business models and products (features, benefits, price, discount programs)
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
§   Develop strategies for and oversee the launch of new products
o    Keep New Product Master spreadsheet current with all new info
o    Assist Marketing Dept with creation of technical info sheet for all new products
o    Oversee distribution of samples and sales tools to sales reps
§   Work closely with Purchasing to validate forecast, ensure balanced inventory, and develop strategies associated with product scarcity or overstock
 
 
Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in related field
  • Sales management experience, organizational skills, and budgeting background
  • Demonstrated experience and standing in division-specific industry
  • Active participant in a broad range of division-specific vertical sports and activities
  • Effective verbal communication and writing skills
  • Computer software skills - MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
 
Summary of Position:
This job will be based at our main office in Clearfield, Utah, approximately 30 miles north of Salt Lake City. It is a full-time, salaried position with full benefits, including a profit-sharing plan, 401K plan and paid time off. Salary is commensurate with experience. Travel, and limited after-hours and weekend work will be required.

When the current owners of Makoto USA saw the game that would become Makoto at an arcade in 2002, they immediately realized its potential to provide both physical and mental fitness for anyone, from athletes to the elderly to folks in rehab. The SNEWS® team first saw a Makoto at the Health & Fitness Business show in Denver several years ago and, after playing it (over and over, we must admit), we had to get one for the office.
