Sales Manager - Garmont North America. Hiking & Trekking Sales Responsibility for Garmont and Life-Link Products.
Location: Burlington, Vermont
The position is North American in scope, with significant business in both Canada and the USA. Under direction from the President, the sales manager is responsible for top line sales and bottom line profitability.
This key role also has exposure to the international product development team and will provide North American relevant input.
Outdoor enthusiasm, with a passion for hiking, footwear and the specialty outdoor business is an essential ingredient.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Forecast annual sales and inventory needs.
· Create and deliver sales and marketing plans.
· Lead sales agencies.
· Communicate with the buying groups.
· Interact with the North American President and the International product development team.
· Communicate with the International marketing team.
· Critique and edit the international catalogs and marketing initiatives.
· Trade Show management and attendance.
· Travel – throughout North America, and occasionally to Europe, or Asia.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Friendly, confident verbal and written communication skills.
- Active participant in general outdoors recreation, with a specific interest in hiking, backpacking, and mountaineering.
- Bachelors Degree in Business or at least 3 years experience in a relevant, successful sales environment.
- Possession of advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
- Progressive thinking and comfort with e-technology.
- Footwear sales or product development back ground.
