This role at Horny Toad will be focused on insuring the right products are in the right quantities (at the right place) at the right moment at a sustainable cost.  Inventory planning, logistics, manufacturing and fulfillment along with the service, communication and technology components associated with each will reside the responsibility of this position.  Customer satisfaction is to a high degree dependent on the flexibility of the supply chain, i.e. its ability to respond to changes in demand. Your job will be maintain excellent customer service (fulfillment) with limited inventory and optimization of cash management.

This is a leadership opportunity to drive the Operations department and contribute as a member of the management team.

Key Focus Areas

• Integrate communication, performance goals and decision making across production, logistics, inventory planning and cost accounting areas.
• Implement reporting to improve transparency of information across organization.
• Streamline operational efficiency of the Supply Chain (increased inventory turns, decreased ATS, increased gross margin, increased productivity).
• Work with Product and Sales teams to continually address operational improvements.
•  Employ the best available technology solutions to improve reliability, customer             satisfaction and performance tracking.

Job Responsibilities

Department Management

• Define clear department goals, develop plan and supporting teams to execute.
• Develop useful measurement tools and reporting to assess goal achievement.
• Manage financial planning of dept including budgets & cash flow planning.
• Provide professional development & performance evaluations for team members.
• Facilitate product and market information flow between internal and external sources.

Planning, Production and Logistics

• Working with the existing functional leads to provide additional strategic planning and coordination of Demand Planning, Distribution, and Logistics.
• Manage Production & Logistics Planning process in coordination with the executive team and key stakeholders.
• Evaluate the distribution network systems and optimize the logistics strategy and ERP systems. Identify and act on opportunities to streamline production.
• Implement improved operational efficiencies across all distribution channels.
• Manage blended gross margin goals with Finance and Merch Planning team.
• Manage planning and performance measurements of warehouse.

Essential Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 3 years at a senior level, involving apparel production and sourcing
• Demonstrated scheduling skills
• Line management of teams
• Deep project management experience
• ·Knowledge of the apparel industry
• Cross functional experience (e.g., manufacturing and quality; supply chain)
