As a member of Sourcing Team/ RD&D, the Business Manager will be responsible for working directly with the assigned softgood Categories Product Directors to manage the costing process and representing the category specific Product Teams in global sourcing decisions as they relate to product development, sourcing, production planning/execution and product costing analysis. Some of your primary duties include:
· Management of seasonal calendar deliverables including: proto-typing, sales man sales samples, pre-costing, and final costing.
· Providing accurate quick costing analysis on specified design/development packages before being sent to Asian for prototyping.
· Leading category representative to work directly with Sourcing in allocation of style development, development center allocations, and production.
· Partnering with Forecasting teams to provide accurate style forecasts on a year around basis.
· Travel prior to category team trips to review factory costing and providing a meeting recap prior to factory meetings to identify challenges and solutions to problems.
· Working directly with Product Directors to confirm final costing negotiations are implemented and seasonal category margins are accurate for sign off.
· Traveling to production locations as needed to ensure development of product, ensuring vendor meets requirements, expectations of wholesales/margins, understanding of spec packages, providing premeeting review to design/develop teams and monitoring execution of policies.
· Coordinating development of RTO (outlet programs) with outlet buyer and regional offices.
· Performing these and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
We are looking for an individual with a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 8 years of related professional experience. Experience in production planning and manufacturing, sourcing in Asia as well as experience in working through a local office are required. Must be able to professionally handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment, excellent communication skills (oral and written), negotiation skills, strong analytical skills, strong knowledge of garment construction, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, planning/scheduling/problem solving skills, strong PC skills are necessary. Must be willing and able to travel both Internationally and Domestically.
