Polartec, LLC has selected Allon Cohne as its new North American Marketing Manager. Cohne will oversee the domestic marketing and communications for the Polartec® brand.
Cohne comes to Polartec® from Kirkwood Mountain Resort in Lake Tahoe, California where he was Director of Marketing and Sales and he helped to re-brand Kirkwood as a ski destination with the “Rare Earth” campaign. Cohne’s marketing efforts were highlighted in 2007 when Kirkwood graced the cover of SKI Magazine's Resort Guide, a first for the resort. Prior to Kirkwood, Cohne spent five years as Brand Marketing Manager at Beaver Creek, Colorado. During his tenure, skier visits grew annually by six to eight percent.
Nate Simmons, Director of Marketing for Polartec®, states, “Allon delivers directly relevant brand management experience with a track record of success. He will play a pivotal role in upcoming product launches and cooperative marketing support for Polartec’s customers, the best clothing brands in the world.”
Cohne and his wife Christine, both die-hard Red Sox fans, are excited about moving to the Boston area with their one-year-old son James.
"Polartec makes amazing fabrics, and is an icon in the outdoor industry," notes Cohne. "I've known this brand my entire life and I’m thrilled to be a part of it."
