SNEWS® Live: Scott Schmidt is a professional freestyle skier who is widely known from an appearance in dozens of feature films, many made by Warren Miller. Set against the backdrop of high mountain ranges and resorts around the world, Schmidt’s particular style of “extreme skiing “ is characterized by steep high-speed descents, vertical leaps off jagged cornices into mid - air and spectacular landings into waist-deep powder. Schmidt, 46, connects with SNEWS® Live to look back on his remarkable career – one that’s still far from over.
