General Summary and Responsibilities:
Receive, log, repair, and/or replace consumer returned products. Provide customer service to consumers that contact us on the 800 lines, by web-site, e-mail, and/or walk into the factory.
Essential Functions:
- On a daily basis, open boxes containing returned products.
- Log consumer information into computer program.
- Perform visual check of product to determine repairs needed.
- Repair products and test the repairs before sending back to the customer.
- Replace any products that cannot be repaired.
- Deliver verbal and written responses to customer’s questions.
- Train employees of Cascade Designs and other repair centers including overseas.
- Assist with answering 800-consumer line to provide technical question answering support.
- Assist with mailings of consumer catalogs.
- Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis.
Education/Certifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience:
- Previous employment in outdoor-industry.
- Extensive background and interest in outdoor recreation including backpacking, mountaineering, skiing and some type of water sports (paddling) a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to perform repetitive motion tasks.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
