Minneapolis, MN, April 23rd, 2008 — Midwest Mountaineering is proud to announce their Bi-Annual Outdoor Adventure Expo April 24-27. The event takes place under big-top tents outside of their downtown Minneapolis store and near the University of Minnesota campus. Featured speakers are Jon Bowermaster, who recently was kayaking in Antarctica, Andrew Skurka with his 6,875 mile Great Western Loop ultralight backpacking story (he averaged 33 miles per day), Cliff Jacobsen and Kevin Callan (of course) and many others. Owners, Rod and Sharon Johnson have presentations on trekking in Patagonia and in the Dolomites in Italy. Over 80 shows in all. Three presentations will be at the Loft this year. Radical Reels film festival will be Saturday night in our new, larger venue and canoe and kayak auction is 11am on Saturday.
