SNEWS® Live:  Why would anyone care about the origins of the raw fibers in their wool garment? Outdoor clothing company Icebreaker, for one, thinks more than a few consumers are interested. Using a new system called the BAA Code, Icebreaker is trying to address consumer demand for accountability in sustainable production practices.

And, the demand seems to be growing. More companies throughout the outdoor industry are going out of their way to reveal the steps they're taking to create eco-friendly merchandise. There's also a plan in the works to create a standard for measuring sustainability in the production of outdoor products.

In this edition of SNEWS® Live, we take a look at a few of those companies and ask the question: What does it really mean to be green?
