SNEWS® Live: Adventure journalist Stefani Jackenthal has one of those jobs that mixes work with pleasure. As a freelance writer and occasional contributor to National Public Radio, Jackenthal travels the world telling stories of adventure races and mountain expeditions as a participant observer. For magazines and newspapers, she's covered events like the Primal Quest, the Raid Gauloises and the Coastal Challenge Expedition Run.
Additionally, in an effort to add a little balance to her life, Jackenthal also runs a wine-tasting business on the side. She blends her interests in outdoor recreation across the globe with the cross-cultural beverage that she says, "adds flavor to life."
SNEWS® Live spoke to Jackenthal at her New York home, sharing her own story of covering events and expeditions.
