Marcus Woolf Senior Editor

Marcus Woolf served with Outdoor Retailer magazine for seven years, reaching the position of Editor in 2001. In 2002, he returned to his home state of Alabama where he works as a Senior Editor for SNEWS® and as a freelance writer for publications such as Outside magazine. Marcus is wrapping up his first book, a trail guide for The Mountaineers. He especially enjoys hiking, paddling and climbing. "It's good to be back in this part of the country where not many writers are covering the outdoor specialty market," Woolf says. "Plus, I just couldn't find any place in California that served sweet tea and fried okra."
