Outdoor Industry Donations Update: Dansko, Sport Chalet, Tecnica USA, Volkl Sport America

Dansko is partnering with the non-profit AmeriCares to provide relief for people affected by Hurricane Katrina. Dansko's web site, www.dansko.com, has an AmeriCares link, and each time someone clicks on the link, Dansko will donate $1 to AmeriCares, up to $20,000. AmeriCares is providing healthcare services to people living in shelters in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
Dansko has also worked with a Houston retailer to donate about 500 pairs of shoes to hurricane survivors.

Sport Chalet has announced that is has donated $300,000 to the American Red Cross to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina. Sport Chalet matched $150,000 donated by customers and employees the first week of September. Sport Chalet stores will continue to accept donations, and the money will go directly to the American Red Cross.

Tecnica USA and Volkl Sport America have donated $14, 655 to the American Red Cross Katrina Disaster Relief Fund. Tecnica and Volkl each matched $4,885 in employee donations.
